On August 2, a case was filed against Aamir Khan and the makers of the upcoming movie PK, in a court in Kanpur, as poster showed the Bollywood star in the nude except for a transistor covering his private parts.
According to the complaint, lawyer Manoj Dixit accused the actor, producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra and director Rajkumar Hirani of promoting nudity and vulgarity.
Rajkumar Hirani has planned to release his upcoming PK on 25 December 2014, as he release his directed blockbuster 3 Idiots on the same date, which proved the lucky date for Aamir and Rajkumar.
On Aug 7, the court listed the case when the contention of the petitioner would be heard and, if needed, the producer, director and actor will be served notice to appear before it.
According to petitioner Aamir Khan has considerable influence on the youth of today and any such act would only tempt youths to emulate him, thereby threatening the social order.
This in turn, he added, would lead to cases of sexual offenses.
