Biography : Ajay Devgan is an Indian film Actor, Director and Producer. He was born on 2nd April 1969 to Veena and Veeru Devgan. His real name is Vishal Veeru Devgan. His father, Veeru Devgan, is a famous stunt choreographer. Ajay completed his studies from Silver Beach High School and Mithibai College. He married his co-star & well known film actress Kajol On 24th February 1999 & has two children.

Ajay started his acting career in 1992 with Phool Aur Kaante which was a huge success. Same year he starred in Jigar opposite Karishma Kapoor which was a box office hit. In 1993, he was seen in films icluding Dil Hai Betaab, Divya Shakti, Sangram, Ek Hi Raasta, Platform, Shaktiman, Dhanwan and Bedardi. In 1994, he was seen in Romantic Action movie Dilwale which was a huge success & he was praised for his performance. After that he starred in Suhaag which was also a box office hit. He then worked in Vijaypath opposite Tabu which was a hit.

In 1995, he appeared in Mahesh Bhatt's movie Naajayaz which was praised by critics. After that, he appeared in films like Hulchul, Gundaraj, Haqeeqat, Jung, Jaan, Diljale & Itihaas. After that, he was seen in Indra Kumar's Romantic Comedy Ishq. The film was a huge commercial success. His next released movies were Major Saab, Pyaar To Hona Hi Tha opposite Kajol. After that, he appeared in Mahesh Bhatt's Zakhm for which he won National Film Award for Best Actor and Star Screen Award for Best Actor. His next release was Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam opposite Aishwarya Rai which was a huge hit. After that, he was seen in many films like Hindustan Ki Kasam, Kachche Dhaage, Hogi Pyaar Ki Jeet, Dil Kya Kare, Deewane, Raju Chacha, Yeh Raaste Hain Pyaar Ke, Company, The Legend of Bhagat Singh which was praised by critics.

In 2003-2005, He appeared in many films including Bhoot, Gangaajal which was critically acclaimed, Zameen, LOC Kargil, Rajkumar Santoshi's Khakee, Raincoat opposite Aishwarya Rai, Main Aisa Hi Hoon, Tango Charlie, Shikhar, Kaal and Apaharan. In 2006, he was seen in Omkara & his performance was appreciated. Same year, he did Rohit Shetty's Comedy film Golmaal which was a hit. After Golmaal, he was seen in the sequels of Golmaal, Golmaal Returns and Golmaal 3.

In 2010, he played the role of Smuggler Sultan Mirza in Milan Luthria's Once Upon a Time in Mumbai which was a huge success & his performance was appreciated by critics. In 2011, he again did a comedy film Dil Toh Baccha Hai Ji alongside Emraan Hashmi & Omi Vaidya. His next release was Rohit Shetty's Singham which was a box office hit & recieved good reviews by critics. After that, he appeared in films like Rascals, Tezz, Bol Bachchan, Himmatwala & Satyagraha.

His upcoming projects include Rohit Shetty's Singham Returns which is the sequel of his film Singham & Prabhudeva's Action Jackson opposite Sonakshi Sinha.
