After her not so successful movie Matru Ki Bijlee Ki Mandola, Anushka will be seen in the upcoming film Bombay Velvet. Anushka Sharma wears the green and gold number, designed by costume designer Niharika Bhasin Khan, for her opening song in the period dram, which shows her entering a stage set for a performance, in a green sequin couture gown with flame like gold detailing by Niharika Bhasin Khan.
Niharika, who won the National Film Award for best costume designer for The Dirty Picture has specially designed the 140 costumes for Anushka for the film.
Anushka Sharma will also be seen in Zoya Akhatr’s ‘Dil Dhadakne Do’, her home production ‘NH 10′ and Rajkumar Hirani’s ‘Peekay’.
Bombay Velvet is a Hindi neo noir drama film directed and co-produced by Anurag Kashyap. It is based on historian Gyan Prakash’s book Mumbai Fables, a story of how the city of Mumbai became a metropolis against the backdrop of love, greed, violence and jazz music.
