PK has earned the ire of Hindu groups who claim the film hurts the sentiments of the majority community.
Hindu Janajagruti Samiti (HJS) has sought an immediate ban on ‘PK’ movie, saying its content is ‘highly provocative’ and hurts the religious sentiments of the community.
Bajrang Dal activists protested against the movie PK at Jyoti talkies on Monday around 11am. About two dozen activists created lot of problems at the talkies.
‘The protestors were not allowed to enter the cinema hall. The poster they burnt was arranged by them. No case has been registered,’ said MP Nagar TI Brajesh Bhargava.
Directed by Rajkumar Hirani, ‘PK’ also features Aamir Khan, Anushka Sharma, Sushant Singh Rajput, Sanjay Dutt, Boman Irani and Saurabh Shukla. Moivie hit the theatres on December 19 and earned Rs 116 crore as box office collections over the first four days.
