Holiday Movie Review

Holiday, the much awaited movie is released today. It is the official remake of the monster Tamil hit ‘Thuppaki’, gives Akshay Kumar a chance to return to full combat mode.

Story: Virat Bakshi (Akshay) played an Army man and look good. Virat goes on a holiday where a terror blast kills school kids in a bus. On leave from the Indian Army, Virat Bakshi (Akshay) is bride hunting and meets Sahiba (Sonakshi Sinha).

Along with his cop buddy (Sumeet Raghavan) he catches a terrorist who is part of a sleeper cell. From then on, he is engaged in a cat-and-mouse game with a terror mastermind (Freddy Daruwala). Known for his deadly stunts and mighty kicks, there’s no beating Akki when it comes to action. Hand-to-hand combat and a fight sequence aboard a ship are also interesting.

Freddy Daruwala has debuted as main villain but he has flat expressions throughout the film and doesn’t leave much impact.

The music album consists of 6 songs sung by Arijit Singh, Benny Dayal, Aditi Singh Sharma, Aditi Singh Sharma, Ritu Pathak, Mika Singh and Piyush Sharma.

The trio of Arijit, Pritam and Irshad Kamil delivers exactly what one would have asked for. Here, Ashq Na Ho fits the bill and that too perfectly.
