The timeless beauty Rekha appeared after such a long time on silver screen with Super Nani. It is a melodrama which will entertain you. Anupam Kher tickles funny bone as a filmmaker. Randhir Kapoor as Rekha’s on screen husband has few good scenes.
Story: Bharti Bhatia (Rekha) lives on a joint family along with her children and grand children. Bharti does all kinds of work at home and loves to take care of her kids.
However, all her love and care goes to dogs when everyone including her husband and kids in the house starts taking her for granted.
This is when Manorath (Sharman Joshi), Bharti’s grand child enters and feels for the trouble which his Nani is going through. Will Manorath be able to help her out and bring her respect in the house back? the film is all about.
Performances: The only good thing about the film is seeing the evergreen actress Rekha at her best. Sharman Joshi as a guide to his Grandma is great.
Anupam Kher, who is responsible for bringing in the comic factor in the film, does it well with his performance. Randhir Kapoor hasn’t given much scope to show off his talent in the film. Debutant Shweta Kumar is good.
Music: The music to the film has been composed by Harshit Saxena and Sanjeev Darshan, with lyrics penned by Sameer and Sanjeev Chaturvedi. Super Nani is a respectable attempt and there are enough songs in the album which will certainly keep you entertained.
